Lorentz solar water pump to be launched in local mkt

German's Bernt Lorentz GmbH & Company will launch its Lorentz Solar-operated Water Pump in Bangladeshi market through Grameen Shakti and Nahean Enterprise, a member concern of MAKS Group of Companies.
This was disclosed at a press conference organised by MAKS Group at a city club Saturday, said a press release.
Chaired by MAKS Group Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Nessar M Khan, the conference was attended, among others, by Grameen Shakti General Manager (GM) Absar Kamal and its bio-gas consultant Gofran Ahmed, and Bernt Lorentz GmbH & Company GM Bernt Lorentz and its Vice GM Johnson Hu.
In this connection, an agreement has recently been signed between Grameen Shakti and Nahean Enterprise.
Under the agreement, Nahean Enterprise will supply complete irrigation solar pump system to Grameen Shakti.
The solar-based irrigation pump system can ensure continuous irrigation in those areas of the country where there is no electricity.
This will also help make the country's agriculture modern and environment friendly. Maintenance cost will be much lower than the current fuel-based irrigation system.
As per the agreement, Nahean Enterprise will continuously provide technical assistance for these pumps.
Nahean Enterprise is a concern of MAKS Group, which is involved in diversified business both in manufacturing and trading.
Nahean Enterprise is mainly engaged in renewable energy, in particular solar technology, and has a long-term vision of ensuring regular flow of electricity in rural areas and passing on its benefits to all the rural people in Bangladesh.
