Low may form over Bay

Wednesday, 18 December 2024

A low-pressure system may form over the southeastern Bay of Bengal, potentially causing rainfall in Bangladesh beginning on Friday, reports bdnews24.com.
Meteorologist Kazi Zebunnesa said on Monday evening, "The low-pressure system might develop by Tuesday. However, the chances of it intensifying into a depression or cyclone are low."
"Even if it forms, it is likely to move toward Sri Lanka. Its impact on Bangladesh will be limited to rainfall. Rainfall may begin on Friday and continue for three days. Coastal areas will experience heavier rain, while Dhaka is expected to see light rain."
