CHITTAGONG, Oct 27: Due to lack of adequate supply, price of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) has registered a sudden hike again and the price of a cylinder has now increased by around Tk 380, sources said.
According to the sources, concerned dealers are, allegedly, trying to create an artificial crisis of LPG with an evil intention to earn some extra profit.
Following the prevailing country-wide LP gas crisis due to inadequate supply by the Bangladesh Petroleum Corporation (BPC), the private companies are increasing the price of the product at their will in phases.
The ongoing trend, if continued , will multiply woes of the people who are already being crushed under spiraling prices, sources said.
In this situation, immediate government steps have been sought to lessen the sufferings of the LP gas consumers.
