Lux, Channel-i launch new superstar hunt

The launching ceremony of the 3rd Lux Channel-i Superstar 2007 was held in a city hotel Monday.
Unilever Bangladesh Ltd Brands and Development Director Naushad Chowdhury, Impress Telefilm Managing Director Faridur Reza Sagar, and Asiatic MCL DMD Asaduzzaman Noor shared details about this year's modality in the programme.
Mahatab Hasan, product group and company media manager for LUX, Ferdous Hasan Neville, general manager, Chowdhury Fazle Shakib, creative director, and Shaahed Radwan Nipun, account manager from Asiatic MCL, were also present in the programme.
The speakers said, Lux and Channel-i have begun a new search for the superstar of tomorrow, and thousands of aspiring candidates across the country are lining up to prove themselves through the competition.
Now with the new "play with beauty" philosophy, Lux encourages the women to be beautiful and take pride in it. Across the years and countries Lux has been associated with endeavours to provide a platform for the young females to bring out the 'star' in them.
The speakers also spoke about how this year's competition would be much more challenging. As always, the selected starlets will go through extensive grooming sessions including fitness, choreography and other necessary training. This year, the contestants will be tested in all sectors of the glamour industry - fashion, advertising, on television, and most of all, beauty.
