M-79 grenade launcher recovered in Ctg

CHITTAGONG, Nov 19: Members of the Rapid Action Battalion (RAB)-7 recovered one USA-made sophisticated grenade launcher, five grenades and one grenade launcher belt in an abandoned state from Uttar Rangamatiya village under Fatikchhari Upazila in the district at midnight last night. RAB officials said the USA-made M-79 grenade launcher had the capacity to cover at least a 400-meter distance while the grenades were of M-406/40 grade. — BSS
