Madaripur edge past Dhaka DSA 7-6

Madaripur DSA edged past Dhaka DSA by 7-6 goals in one of the opening day's matches of the BASIC Bank 18th National Women's Handball Championship at the Dhanmondi Women's Sports Complex in the city Thursday, reports UNB.
President of Bangladesh Handball Federation Nurul Amin, who is also the Industries Secretary, inaugurated the meet.
Results of the day's other matches: Panchagarh DSA crushed Gopalganj DSA 56-0 (1st half 26-0); Joypurhat DSA outplayed Naogaon DSA 13-3 (1st half 6-2); Magura DSA thrashed Narail DSA 32-3 (1st half 17-1) and Dinajpur DSA beat Faridpur DSA 19-16 (1st half 7-3).
