Madaripur, Satkhira, Lalmonirhat, Chattogram road accidents kill six

A total of six persons were killed in separate road accidents in Madaripur, Satkhira and Lalmonirhat districts on Tuesday and Monday night, report agencies.
In Madaripur, three persons were killed in after a cover van hit a battery-powered van in Madaripur's Sadar upazila of the district on Monday.
The dead were all passengers on the battery-powered van. Two others were injured in the incident.
Locals rescued the injured and sent them to local hospital.
The identity of the deceased could not be ascertained yet, the OC said.
In Satkhira, a motorcyclist was killed in a road accident near Tala Fire Service Station in Tala upazila of the district on Tuesday.
The deceased was identified as Nazmul Hasan Rana, son of Razzak Sarder, of Hazrakati village of the upazila.
The accident occurred when a passenger bus collided head-on with a motorcycle in the area, leaving bike rider Nazmul injured critically.
Locals rescued Nazmul and sent him to Upazila Health Complex where the on-duty doctor declared him dead.
In Chattogram, a nine-year old child tragically lost her life after being struck by a high-speed vehicle in the Kanungopara area of Boalkhali upazila on Tuesday.
The deceased was identified as Prantika, the daughter of Ganesh Sardar, residing in the mentioned area. She was also a second-grade student.
Her mother, Panna Sardar, reported that Prantika was standing on the road adjacent to their home at approximately 10:30 am. Suddenly, a fast-moving vehicle struck her, resulting in Prantika falling to the ground.
In Lalmonirhat, a motorcyclist was killed in a road accident on the Kakina-Chapartola road of the district on Monday night.
The deceased was Md Rahibul Islam, 45, son of Md Abu Taleb of Tushbandar area.
The accident occurred when a stone-loaded truck hit a motorcycle in the area, leaving Rahibul killed on the spot.
