'Made in Thailand Exhibition' in city from March 11

The four-day long 'Made in Thailand Exhibition-2009' jointly organised by Department of Export Promotion (DEP) of Royal Thai Government begins March 11 at Hotel Sonargaon in the city.

Thai Trade Centre in the city has invited any importer for one to one business meeting with the Thai exporters, said a press release.

Thai Trade Centre Director Usa Wijarurn has said, "Made in Thailand Exhibition 2009 will have more than 55 stalls of about 45 Thai exporters, who produce high quality and diversified products including food and beverage, gift and decorative, health and beauty, garments and fashion, gems and jewelry, household, stationary, electrical, construction and machinery, chemicals, auto parts and accessories and service trade like tour operation."

The inaugural ceremony of the exhibition will be kicked off at Pan Pacific Sonargaon Hotel in the city on March 11, 2009 at 11am.

Commerce Minister Muhammad Faruk Khan will inaugurate the exhibition as the chief guest, while Thai Ambassador in Bangladesh Chalermpol Thanchitt will attend as the special guest.

The programme includes a comprehensive database that lists Thai manufacturers and exporters, and connects them with international importers.

Businessmen and consumers around the globe recognise and have faith in this campaign, created and owned by the Thai government.

Thus, Thai brands carrying the Thailand's brand symbol are likely to be the very best of their kind in Thailand and around the world.
