Madrasa teacher dies in road crash

A madrasah teacher was killed as a truck knocked down his motorcycle in Shah Makhdum Airport area in Rajshahi city on Friday afternoon. The deceased was identified as Abdur Rahman Jahangir, 28, son of Pan Mohammad, teacher of a local madrasa situated in the city's Noadara Truck Terminal area. Locals said a truck coming from the opposite direction hit Rahman’s motorbike on on Rajshahi-Naogaon highway around 12:59pm, leaving him dead on the spot. Police recovered the body and sent it to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital for autopsy, according to a news agency.
