Madrasah teacher held for violating girl student

SYLHET, Mar 18 (UNB): A madrasah teacher was arrested on charge of violating a girl student here Wednesday.
Police said Maulana Tofail Ahmed Osmani (40), hailing from Rajano village in Dirai Upazila of Sunamganj, founded a women madrasah and orphanage in a rented house in Akhalia Noapara area of the city eight months back.
Hearing loud cry of a girl in the madrasah local people rushed there and rescued the 10-year-old girl student who was raped by Osmani Wednesday night.
They caught Osmani and later handed him over to police. The girl was admitted to Osmani Medical College Hospital in a critical condition.
A case was filed in this connection.
