Magura BCL leader hacked dead, another injured

Some miscreants hacked to death a local Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) leader at Magura Government College premises in Magura town on Tuesday night. The dead is Rajon Khan, 25, a BCL leader of the college unit. Police and witnesses said a gang of masked miscreants, equipped with sharp weapons and bombs, swooped on Rajon and his friend Arif Khan, 26, while they were gossiping at the college playground around 8:00pm. The attackers hacked the duo indiscriminately, leaving them injured. They were taken to Magura Sadar Hospital where doctors declared Rajon dead. Arif Khan was receiving treatment there in critical condition, according to a news agency.
