Police arrested a local leader of Jamaat-e-Islami at Shatakhali village in Shalikha upazila in Magura district on Tuesday. The arrestee was identified as Atiar Rahman. Tipped off, a team of police arrested Atiar from his home around 2:00pm, said Biplob Kumar Nath, officer-in-charge of Shalikha Police Station. Atiar was wanted in five cases, including that of an attack. He returned home on Monday night from his hideout after a long time, according to UNB.
