Magura Jubo League leader hurt in attack

A local Jubo League leader was injured allegedly in an attack by Jubo Dal activists at Sreepur upazila in Magura district on Saturday. The injured was identified as Rafiq Khandakar, 48, president of Sreepur union unit Jubo League. Aoulad Hossain, officer-in-charge of Sreepur Police Station, said there has been longstanding enmity between Rafiq and local Jubo Dal leaders over political issue. A group of armed activists of Jubo Dal, numbering 10-15, led by Babul and Shafiq, reportedly attacked Rafiq with sharp weapons and chopped him indiscriminately while he was returning home in the afternoon. Critically injured Rafiq was rushed to Magura Sadar Hospital, according to UNB.
