Magura municipality budget announced

MAGURA, July 12: Magura Municipality has announced its budget of Tk 8,18,56,411.00 for expenditure and Tk 8,19,20,717.00 for income for the fiscal 2007-2008 recently.
The present budget includes additional Tk 4,86,33,717.00 for income and Tk. 3,99,05,689.00 for expenditure.
The fund of Tk 3,17,81,208.00 will come from revenue section, Tk 75,00,000.00 from government benefit, Tk 74,88,415.00 from revenue surplus, Tk 44,68,509.00 from BMDF project, Tk 6,06,000.00 from VTIDP, Tk 3,75,00,000.00 from IGIIP and TK 65,000.00 from GAVI project respectively.
The highest budget of Tk 1,33,00,000.00 has been declared for the purpose of infrastructure while and the lowest budget for the purpose of education amounting to Tk 17,400.00.
Announcing the budget, Magura Municipality Chairman Abdul Gafur said since the present government is non-political, it will be easy to implement the budget being free from any kind of political pressure.
Ward Commissioner Mir Shahidul Islam Babu said this budget is not up to the expectation of the people of Magura.
