Mahila parishad seeks intervention of higher authority to resolve SUST issue

Leaders of Bangladesh Mahila Parishad have urged the higher authorities of Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (SUST) to take immediate steps to resolve the ongoing issue, reports BSS.
The leaders made the call at an online press conference organised by Mahila parishad Tuesday afternoon.
In a written statement, the leaders called upon the Ministry of Education and the University Grants Commission (UGC) to intervene urgently to resolve the overall crisis, including realizing the demands of the students who are on hunger strike and ensuring their safety.
Education and Culture Sub-Council Secretary Khurshida Imam presented the written statement at the press conference while general secretary of the Sylhet district unit of the organisation Raushan Ara Mukul was also present, among others.
