The City Bank Ltd Managing Director (MD) and CEO K Mahmood Sattar has been elected new chairman of Association of Bankers, Bangladesh (ABB) for 2007-09.
He was elected in the annual general meeting (AGM) of the Association in the city recently.
Vice chairmen were also elected in the AGM. They are M Shahjahan Bhuiyan, MD of Prime Bank, Md Nurul Amin, MD of NCC Bank, and Khandker Fazle Rashid, MD of Premier Bank.
Neaz Habib, deputy managing director of United Commercial Bank Ltd, was elected secretary general of the Association for the same period.
