Kazi Mahmood Sattar has joined The City Bank Limited (TCBL) as the managing director and CEO.
He moved to TCBL from Eastern Bank Limited (EBL) after more than six years of service, transforming EBL into a modern bank, by installing control measures in critical risk areas, re-engineering its operating processes, re-organising its structure from branch-based to centralised business matrix, installing advanced IT system, and improving overall transparency.
Sattar started his career with ANZ Grindlays Bank in 1981, and worked in Bangladesh, the UK, Australia and India during his tenure. He is an executive committee member of BAFEDA and Association of Bankers, Bangladesh.
TCBL has extensive coverage of 82 branches across the country. Its online banking, based on global platform, offers full range of financial services including corporate, consumer, small and medium enterprise and treasury.
