Maid \\\'kills self\\\' at Dhanmondi flat

A housemaid allegedly committed suicide at a house in Dhanmondi in the city on Wednesday night. The deceased was identified as Mina, daughter of Naryan of Jhaugachchha village under Motherganj police station in Jamalpur district. She was employed as a domestic assistant at a flat on Road no. 14 in Dhanmondi residential area. Being informed, a team from Dhanmondi police station rushed in and recovered the body of Mina from the flat around 9:30 pm on Wednesday, said Sub-Inspector Mostafiz of the police station. The body was sent to Dhaka Medical College Hospital for autopsy. Police said the body was hanging from the ceiling when they recovered it. An unnatural death case was filed, according to UNB.
