Maiden MERS case in BD

The first-ever case of MERS (Middle East Respiratory Syndrome) infection was detected in Bangladesh Sunday. The Institute of Epidemiology, Disease Control and Research (IEDCR) diagnosed a Bangladeshi expatriate living in the US with the MERS corona virus (MERS-CoV). The 53-year-old man returned home from New York via Abdu Dhabi airport last week. — UNB
