Main accused held in Natore

KUSHTIA, Nov 20 (UNB): One of the main accused in bomb attack on Kushtia-1 lawmaker Afaz Uddin's house Zamirul Islam Maru (30) was held at village Walia under Lalpur Upazila of Natore early today.
Acting on secret information, Daulatpur police of Kushtia conducted a drive at the village and held Maru from a house at dead of night.
Upon interrogation, Maru admitted that he himself made the bomb and hurled it at Afaz Uddin's house with a view to killing the lawmaker and his son Arif Biswas, who narrowly escaped the attack.
Three people were killed and three others seriously injured in the attack on the ruling party lawmaker's house at village Taragunia of Daulatpur on November 13.
