Main Eid Jamaat at National Eidgah at 8am

The main jamaat (congregation) of the Holy Eid-ul-Azha will be held at the National Eidgah on the High Court premises in Dhaka at 8:00am on Friday (September 25). The decision has been taken at a meeting on overall preparation of National Eidgah on Monday. Representatives from the Ministry of Home Affairs, Islamic Foundation Bangladesh, Religion Affairs Ministry and the Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) mayor. Prof Maulana Mizanur Rahman, Senior Pesh Imam of Baitul Mukarram National Mosque, will conduct the prayer. With DSCC mayor Syeed Khokon in the chair, the meeting was attended by city corporation chief executive officer Khan M Belal, secretary M Rezaul Karim, Dhaka Metropolitan Police’s joint commissioner, representative from Islamic Foundation and others, according to a news agency.
