Mainuddin made AB Bank DMD

Faruq Mainuddin has been promoted as the deputy managing director of AB Bank. Prior to this position, he had been working as the head of credit risk management division of the Bank, says a press release.
Upon completion of his studies in Economics from Dhaka University, he joined the bank in 1984 as probationary officer. He was posted at the Bank's India operation in Mumbai in 1999 and served as the country manager until 2004.
He was awarded with Bangladesh Bank Gold Medal and BCCI Bank (now defunct) Gold Medal for securing first position in the banking diploma examination.
He is the author of ten books on literature, travel, economy and banking.
