Major Eid congregations, time and place

Thursday, 24 September 2015

The main Eid-ul-Azha Jamaat (congregation) is scheduled to be held at National Eidgah near High Court in Dhaka at 8am on Friday. But, in case of adverse weather, it would be shifted to Baitul Mukarram National Mosque. In that case, congregation would start half an hour later.
President Md Abdul Hamid, Supreme Court judges, Cabinet members, MPs, politicians and people from all walks of life are expected to attend the main Ed congregation tomorrow. The Meteorological Department has said there are little chances of heavy rain in the morning. However, the forecast does warn of slight rain in some parts of the country.
The department’s Director Md Shah Alam said: “There are chances of sporadic drizzle. However, we don’t think congregations will be hampered by heavy rains.”
Like every year, the largest Eid congregation will be held in Kishoreganj’s Sholakia Eidgah. Another 100,000 people are expected to attend the congregation in Faridpur’s Bishwa Jaker Manjil at 10am. – bdnews24.com
