Major reshuffle in police admn

The government made a major reshuffle Monday in the police administration by posting 69 senior officials, including a Deputy Inspector General (DIG) and 18 Additional DIGs. According to a circular of the Home Ministry, DIG Md Nazibur Rahman who recently returned from Bangladesh High Commission in New Delhi, was given the charge of raising a new unit for curbing the growing terrorism. Besides, 18 additional DIGs and 50 newly-promoted Superintendents of Police (SP) were posted to various positions in the country to face the current anarchic situation. — BSS
