FE Special
ONE day his students asked D Alembert about how to gain mastery over mathematics. He said, " Just begin. Immediately you will have energy and courage." If students just begin any subject, they will start feeling confident about the subject.
Many students are just afraid of some certain subjects. They grow panicky about the subject to such an extent that they even do not open the books, let alone begin reading the books. If they would just begin, they would see that their fear is being removed and slowly they are getting clear concepts.
If the subject is difficult, initially we might feel bad. But after reading it slowly we will start feeling comfortable about the subject. Scientist Lui Pastur wrote to his sister, " Do not be lazy. Once you are used to doing any work, you cannot sit idle." Lui Pastur himself practiced the same for his personal life and he succeed to a great extent in his life.
We might suffer from many kind of anxiety before we start any work. But if we just boldly can start a work, we will see that our mind is filled with courage and we are succeeding in that work.
If we think a subject is difficult, we can sit with the subjects several times a day. By giving a little bit time every time and by spending several sessions in a day, we can gain in confidence about the subject. After all, no subject is difficult. The books were written by people like us. If people like us could write the books, why cannot we just read and have proper concepts about the subjects?
