Make success Gazipur rally at any cost: Khaleda

Thursday, 25 December 2014

BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia has directed her party’s senior leaders of Gazipur to make the 20-party alliance’s December 27 rally a success at any cost. Khaleda, a former prime minister, urged them to foil all the obstacles to the rally. She gave the directive when some senior leaders of the district unit of BNP met her at her Gulshan office on Wednesday night. Khaleda’s directive came as the ruling party’s student wing Bangladesh Chatra League (BCL) announced to resist the 20-party coalition’s public rally scheduled to be held at Badre Alam Government College premises in Bhawal. The BNP chief is scheduled to address the rally as the chief guest. BNP standing committee member and former MP from Gazipur Hannan Shah, Gazipur city corporation’s mayor MA Mannan and Gazipur district unit BNP president Fazlul Haq Milon were, among others, in the delegation. BNP acting Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir was present during the meeting, according to a news agency.
