Make united efforts for restoration of democracy: Khaleda

BNP Chairperson and former Prime Minister Khaleda Zia Thursday expressed her optimism that nation would soon return to democracy ending their sufferings through a free, fair and acceptable general elections, reports BSS.
Khaleda Zia was exchanging Eid greetings with political leaders, workers and cross-section of people at Ladies Club in the city on the holy Eid day. Earlier, she also exchanged Eid greetings with ambassadors, high commissioners and head of diplomatic missions and development agencies based in Dhaka.
The BNP chairperson conveyed her Eid greetings with the countrymen and expressed her sorrow at the immense sufferings of the common masses especially because of the price-hike and joblessness.
She asked all party leaders, workers and patriotic forces to shun differences and remain united against all sorts of conspiracies for protecting the national sovereignty and integrity.
BNP secretary general Khondker Delwar Hosain, standing committee members RA Ghani, Chowdhury Tanvir Siddiqui and M Shamsul Islam and front ranking leaders of BNP and its front organisations were present.
Khaleda Zia also visited the grave of Shaheed President Ziaur Rahman at Sher- e-Bangla Nagar and offered fateha there.
