Malaysia to restore visa-free transit facility for Indians

KUALA LUMPUR, May 25 (PTI): Malaysia yesterday said it will restore the visa-free transit facility for Indian nationals from July one as part of its efforts to boost tourist inflow from India.
Deputy Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin said the facility extended to India and three other countries would benefit Malaysia's tourism industry.
The facility has been extended to nationals of Bangladesh, Pakistan and Sri Lanka too.
"At one time, we had it (the visa-free transit facility) but it was withdrawn for certain reasons.
