Malaysian co to set up 50mw power plant in Adamjee EPZ

M/S Garisan Etika Bangladesh (Pvt.) Limited, will set up a 50mw power generation plant in Adamjee Export Processing Zone (EPZ).
The company will invest $41 million for uninterrupted power supply to the operating enterprises of Adamiee EPZ including adjacent area on need basis during peak and off-peak hours.
In this connection, an agreement was signed between BEPZA and M/s Garisan Etika Bangladesh (Pvt.) Limited at BEPZA complex in the city Wednesday.
BEPZA General Manager AZM Azizur Rahman and M/s Garisan Etika Bangladesh (Pvt.) Limited Chairman Dato Mohammad Tuffile Nawab Din signed the lease agreement on behalf of their respective organisations.
Also present at the signing ceremony were Malaysian High Commissioner in Bangladesh Dato Abdul Malek Bin Abdul Aziz and BEPZA Executive Chairman Ashraf Abdullah Yussuf.
M/s Garisan Etika Bangladesh (Pvt.) Limited will install this 50mw power plant within 8,000 square metres of allotted space in the zone. The plant will start to provide the service within 15 months.
