Malaysian Human Resources Minister Richard Riot Jaem will arrive in Dhaka on August 18 to discuss manpower recruitment with his Bangladesh counterpart, said officials.
The two-day visit of the nine-member official delegation headed by the Malaysian minister is expected to increase manpower recruitment from Bangladesh, they said.
During the visit a formal meeting will be held between the two ministers -- Richard Riot Jaem and Bangladesh Minister for Expatriates' Welfare and Overseas Employment Khandker Mosharraf Hossain.
Secretary of the expatriates' welfare ministry Khondokar Showkat Hossain expressed hope that manpower export will be expedited with the visit of the Malaysian minister.
He said earlier a meeting was held at the secretary level of the two countries where some issues were discussed relating to the enhancement of manpower recruitment from Bangladesh.
"During the visit of Malaysian human resources minister we can go for a concrete decision in this connection," he added.
So far, some 4,000 Bangladeshis went to Malaysia under government to government (G-to-G) arrangement after signing a memorandum of understanding (MoU) in November 2012.
