Malaysian PM invites Tarique

Malaysian Prime Minister (PM) Anwar Ibrahim has extended an invitation to PM of Bangladesh Tarique Rahman to visit Malaysia while the Southeast Asian country reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthening cooperation across multiple sectors, reports UNB.
The invitation was extended when Expatriates' Welfare and Overseas Employment Minister Ariful Haque Choudhury called on the Malaysian PM at his office in Putrajaya on Thursday.
The Minister was accompanied by PM's Adviser Mahdi Amin and Bangladesh High Commissioner to Malaysia Manjurul Karim Khan Chowdhury. Anwar Ibrahim extended warm felicitations to his Bangladesh counterpart Tarique on his election as the PM of the Bangladesh.
He also commended the country's long-standing struggle for democracy and its continued progress, according to Bangladesh High Commission in Kuala Lumpur.
