Malrauxe Garden’ established at DU

Dhaka University and Alliance Francaise of Dhaka have jointly established ‘Malrauxe Garden’ near the Faculty of Business Studies of the university.
The garden, after the name of French philosopher, humanist and intellectual Andre Marauxe, was formally inaugurated by the Minister for Liberation War Affairs AKM Mozammel Huq Saturday, according to a news agency.
DU Vice-chancellor Prof Dr AAMS Arefin Siddique, French Ambassador to Bangladesh Michel Trinquiier, philosopher, essayist and human rights activist Bernard – Henry Levy, Director, Alliance Francaise of Dhaka Olivier Ltvine, and other delegates from French Embassy, teachers and students of the university attended the opening ceremony of the garden.
A documentary on Andre Malrauxe namely “Bangladesh Year One: From Despair to Hope” was screened at the NNAC Senate Bhaban of the university to show his contribution during and after the liberation war of Bangladesh.
