Man burnt in gas pipe blast dies at DMCH

A man, who suffered injuries in a fire incident caused by gas pipeline explosion at a filling station at Feni, died at Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) on Monday. The deceased was identified as Md Rafiqul Islam, 40, a technician of Majumdar Filling Station of Chhagalnaiya Upazila of Feni. Inspector Mozammel Haque, in-charge of DMCH police camp, said an explosion occurred when an engineer named Washim Uddin along with some technicians was repairing the gas pipeline of Majumdar Filling Station at Chhagalnaiya on Sunday afternoon, leaving at least 12 people injured. Among them, 10 were admitted to the burn unit of DMCH where Md Rafiqul Islam died today, according to a news agency.
