Man burnt to death in N\\\'ganj, his wife injured

A septuagenarian man was burnt to death in a fire that broke out at his house in Fatullah in Narayangonj Sadar Upazila. The dead is Abed Ali, 70. His wife Rahima Begum, 62, sustained burn injuries in the fire. She was rushed to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH)’s burn unit. Family members of the deceased said Rahima caught fire on her body while cooking on a gas stove at their Mazdair residence on Thursday. The fire spread into the gas cylinder in the room and the entire house caught fire. Abed Ali and Rahima Begum were both burnt critically. They were rescued and rushed to the DMCH burn unit where Abed succumbed to his injuries a few hours later, according to a news agency.
