Man chopped to death in Chuadanga

A man was chopped to death by unknown miscreants in Damurhuda upazila in Chuadanga district on Saturday. The dead is Amjad Hossain, 45, son of late Samad Ali, a resident of Joyrampur village. Police said a gang of 5/6 miscreants swooped on Amjad, father of two children, and chopped hm indiscriminately around 4:00 am when he along with his wife and children was sleeping at a veranda at Joyrampur village, leaving him dead on the spot. On information, police recovered the body in the morning and sent it to a local hospital for autopsy. Shikdar Mashiur Rahman, officer-in-charge of Damurhuda Model Police Station, said Amjad might have been killed over previous enmity. The OC also said they were trying to arrest the killers, according to UNB.
