Man chopped to death in Kushtia

Some miscreants have chopped a man to death and dumped his body at a field in Shehala village under Daulatpur Upazila in Kushtia district. Local people spotted the throat slashed body of Shahidul Islam Fida, 40, son of Pocha, a resident of the village. Informed by the locals, police recovered the body and sent it to Kushtia General Hospital for autopsy. Enamul Haque, officer-in-charge (OC) of Daulatpur Police Station, confirmed the incident saying miscreants might have chopped him to death and dumped the body there. The reason behind the killing could not be known. A case was filed in this connection, according to UNB.
