Man City prepared to let Robinho leave on loan

Wednesday, 27 January 2010

MANCHESTER, England, Jan 26 (AP): Manchester City is negotiating with Santos and Sao Paulo over the Brazilian teams' desire to sign Robinho on loan.
Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini says he will include Robinho in his squad for Wednesday's League Cup semifinal against Manchester United but will let the Brazil striker return home if the Premier League club is happy with the deal.
Mancini says the situation looked like one where a team "paid a lot of money for a fantastic player but afterward he needed to play at another club."
After hitting 12 goals in his first 19 games for City, Robinho has scored just four more in the past year.
He hit his first of the season at Scunthorpe in the FA Cup Sunday.
