Man commits suicide in Gazipur

GAZIPUR, Apr 18: A man committed suicide at Noboarbag area under Kaliakoir upazila in the district on Saturday. The deceased was identified as Jahangir Alam, 38, son of Rohiz Uddin of Fatehpur Bhoreghat area under Kotwali police station in Rangpur district.
Local sources said, Jahangir have been living with his wife in a rental house owned by one Hazi Fazlur Rahman. His wife Morzina Akter is a worker of an RMG factory who developed an illicit love affair with another worker of the factory recently.
On Friday afternoon, her husband Jahangir got locked into an altercation with his wife over the issue and he committed suicide at night hanging from the ceiling of the room. On information, police rushed to the spot and recovered the body from the spot and sent it to Gazipur Shahid Tajuddin Ahmed medical college hospital morgue for autopsy.
