Man crushed under bus in city

A man was killed in a road accident in Motijheel area in Dhaka city on Friday. The deceased was identified as Akbar Ali, 35, son of Mansur Ali. He was a driver of a vehicle owned by a cosmetics manufacturing company in the city. Police, quoting witnesses, said Akbar was run over by a bus just after he got down from another bus on the west side of Motijheel Biman office, popularly known as 'Bak Chattar' in the morning. The accident left Akbar critically injured, police said. Akbar was rushed to Dhaka Medical College Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries around 8:00am, according to a news agency.
