Man crushed under train in Nilphamari

NILPHAMARI, Aug 19 (BSS): A man was crushed under the wheels of a train in the Sarkarpara area on Chilahati-Saidpur railways of the district town on Saturday.
The deceased was identified as Prokash Chandra Roy, 56, son of late Lal Mohan Burman, resident of Devirdanga village of the district. He was a district assistant information officer.
Saidpur GRP Police Station sub-inspector (SI) Md. Moniruzzaman said that he died on the spot after being crushed under the wheels of the Barendra Express train from Chilahati to Rajshahi, while he was crossing the rail line around 6am.
