Man drowns in Sylhet

SYLHET, Sept 02 (UNB): A man drowned in Champa Khari Beel in Fenchuganj upazila on Saturday.
The deceased was identified as Alauddin Miah, 42, a resident ofRajonpurvillage in the upazila.
Quoting family members, Nazmul Haque, officer-in-charge of Fenchuganj Police Station, said Alauddin went missing in the afternoon while fishing in the water-body.
After a frantic search, a team of divers from Fenchuganj Fire Service and Civil Defence recovered the body from the beel around 9.00pm.
