Man found dead in Kushtia

Police recovered the body of an unidentified middle-aged man from near Poradah rail station under Mirpur upazila in Kushtia district on Monday. Being informed by locals, a team of Government Railway Police (GRP) recovered the body from at about 8:30 am. Locals spotted the body of the man, aged about 50 years and wearing a white shirt and a black jeans pant, in the area and informed them, police said. The body was sent to Kushtia General Hospital for autopsy. Enamul Haque, officer-in-charge of Poradah GRP Station, said the body bore several marks of injuries. Police said miscreants might have killed the man sometime on Sunday night and later dumped the body there. A case was filed in this connection, according to UNB.
