Man gets life for killing wife

BARGUNA, Nov 28 (UNB): A court here on Tuesday sentenced a man to life term rigorous imprisonment for killing his wife five years back.
District and sessions judge Nazrul Islam pronounced the verdict against Abdul Gaffar, 50, of Vora area under Betagi upazila of the district.
According to the prosecution, Gaffar hacked his wife Minara Begum, 40, indiscriminately on June 20, 2007, for not cooking a chicken in time following his order and remaining busy with another task.
