Man gets life for violating his daughter

A court in Gazipur has sentenced a man to life term imprisonment for violating his daughter in 2013. The court also fined the convict, Mansur Ali, 46, son of Farhad Hossain, a resident of Piprasit area in Kaliakoir upazila of Gazipur district, Tk 100,000. According to the prosecution, Mansur violated his daughter on March 15, 2013. On March 20, 2013, step mother of the girl Rumana filed a case against her husband Mansur with Kaliakoir Police Station. The court framed charges against the accused on June 24, 2013. After examining seven witnesses and relevant documents, Judge of Gazipur Women and Children Repression Prevention Tribunal Fatema Najib pronounced the verdict today, according to UNB.
