Man gets life-term for possessing drugs in C'nawabganj

CHAPAINAWABGANJ, Aug 15 (BSS): A Chapainawabganj court on Monday afternoon sentenced a man to life-term imprisonment and also fined him Taka 50,000, in default, to suffer two-year more in jail.
The convicted person was Sayem Ali, 20, son of Abdul Malek of Unishbighi village under Shibganj upazila of the district.
Another accused-- Shahriar Kamal alias Dalim-- of the case was acquitted from the charges.
Senior Sessions Judge of Chapainawabganj Md. Adeeb Ali pronounced the verdict in the presence of the convict.
