Man hacked to death in Shariatpur

SHARIATPUR, Aug 3 (UNB): A man was killed and his nephew injured in an attack by miscreants in Mridhakandi area on Shariatpur-Chandpur road of Bhedarganj upazila Saturday.
The deceased was identified as Sebat Ali Dewan, 55, while the injured his nephew Kamal Dewan, 35.
Police and locals said a group of miscreants swooped on Sebat and Kamal near Mridhakandi Bridge around 11pm and chopped them with sharp weapons, killing Sebat on the spot and injuring Kamal.
