Man held for \\\'raping\\\' 6-yr-old in Gopalganj

A 32-year-old man has been arrested for allegedly raping a six-year-old girl at Char Sonakur village in Gopalganj Sadar Upazila. Police identified the detainee as Hiru Molla who lives at Sonakur with his wife and daughter. The victim’s mother said her daughter had gone out to buy onion and play with her neighbour Molla’s daughter on Friday evening. The girl was admitted to Gopalganj Sadar Hospital after she fell sick. ‘Molla raped his daughter’s playmate after she came over to play on Friday evening,’ Sadar police OC Zakir Hossain said. Locals caught Molla and handed him over to the police after the girl cried out for help, he added, according to bdnews24.com.
