Man held with 32gm heroin in Magura

Police in a drive arrested a man along with 32 grams of heroin from a bus on the Magura-Jessore road in Arpara area of Shalikha upazila of Magura district Saturday evening. The arrestee was identified as Faruk Ahmed, 32, son of Akbar Ali, hailing from Mohadebpur village in Satkhira district. Abu Zihad, officer-in-charge of Shalikha police station said, on secret information, police conducted a drive in a Dhaka-bound bus in the area in the evening and recovered 32 grams of heroin worth Tk0.30 million from Faruk. Later police arrested him. Farukh had long been involved in drug trading, added the OC. A case was filed in this connection, according to a news agency.
