Man held with 50 kg hemp in city

Police arrested an alleged drug dealer in possession of 50 kilograms of hemp from Saddam market in Matuail area of Dhaka city on Saturday night. The arrestee was identified as Anisur Rahman. Muntasirul Islam, deputy commissioner (media) of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) said, tipped off, a team from Kadamtali Police Station conducted a drive in the area at night and arrested Anisur Rahman. Later, the law enforcers also recovered 50 kilograms of cannabis from his possession. A case was filed in this connection, according to a news agency.
