Man held with $90,000 in Benapole

JASHORE, Oct 11 (BSS): Members of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) arrested a man along with $90,000 and 1,610 Indian rupees from Benapole frontier at Sharsha upazila of the district on Wednesday.
The detainee is Manik Mia, hailing from Austagram upazila in Kishoreganj district. He was returning home from India.
BGB members detained Manik Mia for his suspicious movement. While searching him, they recovered $90,000 s and 1,610 Indian rupees and Tk 32,000 from inside of a blender machine, an official of BGB-49 Battalion said.
The estimated market value of the seized currencies is Tk 99,05, 400.
